Starting up guide MyProfitLand

Hi all, and welcome to the starting up guide for myprofitland.com. During this starting up guide i will guide you through the first steps every new citizen of myprofitland should play to ensure success. The document will be devided in several categories, detailing the activitie or task in greater detail. My aim is that this document can be used as a source of reference for any blind player that wishes to dive into this awsome game.
The registration process
For every new player that wishes to register in myprofitland need to click the: 'register now, it is free' link. But if you'd like to help me because i wrote this starting up guide or by winking a eye at good will to me, please use this referal link:

It will help me inmensely. This way i will become your recruiter and you can find my username, ottonno1303 easier so you can get help directly from me ingame should you need it. Also, when you first arrive in the game, you'll be gaining this information in a more summarised way then this document provides. Both documents hopefully achieve the same goals. Allthough, this document is more aimed at blind players, like myself.
After clicking the referal link above, you still need to press the: 'register now, it is free', link. But there is one difference, i will become your recruiter instead of another player.
Fill out the form presented to you and click the register button. You'll be receiving a activation e-mail containing a link to activate your account. Click this link.
Another screen will show up asking you for additional details. In this case, your real name and country of origin. Fill these out honestly, because of a reason i will detail below.
After filling out these honest details, the game asks you to choose a country you wish to start playing in. This country doesn't ahve to be your real nationality, so choose freely.
Click the button presented, and voila, you are in the game!
The interface
The interface of myprofitland can be a bit confusing. Because there is quite a bit of information to confuse a regular person. And since i think we are all regular people, this might include you. Unless you aren't easely confused ...
In any case. At the top of the page you'll find the current servertime, this clock may become important when you play longer and delve more into the more advanced activities, like warring. But since this is a startup guide that details the basic tasks and activities we leave warring out of it, for now.
Right below the servertime is a searchbox. Via this box you can look for players, companies in-game, countries and regions.
Below the searchbox you'll find your income statements, through these you'll be reading if you gained currency, or lost it. All financially related will be reported via incomes. The alerts, everything that is important to your character. For example when one of your companies sold something to someone, when a player transferred gold to you via a bank, or when pieces of clothing expire. Below the alerts you can find your messages. If all went well, and you registered through my referal link, you'll be having received a message from me. Welcoming you to the game and giving some basic information.
Below the messages link you'll find a few unlabled links, these are:
- Failed login attempts, through here you can read through failed login attempts to your account.
- Open last used company, handy when you need to access your lastly used company, not very useful when you have 117 like me ...
- Personal Notepad, the opvious,
- Personal settings, The opvious,
- log out, ...
Below this pannel you'll be finding the home link, that will get you back each and every time to the screen on which you find yourself now.
Below the home link, you'll be finding several tabs. I will explain several of these in greater detail, because it adds to the guide. While i leave others out, and i only mention them. I will add to this guide when the interest is high enough.
- Activities, when you click open this tab you'll find several important links to make some money, one of these is work, lookoutposts and newspapers. I will be detailing these later on.
- Market, Via here you'll be finding the local and global markets, real estate market and such. All of these will be detailed below,
- *Put your country's name her*, is used to look up all related to your country,
- organisations, use this to apply to an organisation in your country. For workers i'd advice productivity organisations. More details below.
- Partners,
- Rankings,
- Community, use this to get to the documentation and the forums. Both of which containing useful information.
Below these tabs you'll arrive at your personal section. Containing your name, which is clickable if you'd like to look at your profile, your euro's, energy, gold, local currency and all bits of other useful stuff.
Below your personal panel you'll be finding other links which are interesting for your chatacter, namely:
my companies, listig the companies you have,
- my inventory,
- my companion,
- my vehicles,
- my finances,
- my weapons & info,
- my clothing,
- my real estate, listing your real estate or if you rent any real estate,
- my recruits, if you have recruits that registered through your link will be listed here,
- my medals,
- my newspaper articles, if you wish to re-read an article.
- my regions.
and the last two links:
invest, if you'd like to invest ingame for whatever goal,
- withdraw, if you'd liketo withdraw a minimum of 20 euro's from the game. If you gathered these.
Below this withdraw link the main information occurs. Many of these screens, if not all are reachable with the h-button. So easy to find right?
Lastly, allthgouh, for this section detailing the lay-out of the game, there are two remaining sections, also reachable with the h-button:
- Your Friends, if you have any in-game this will show up. If not, this section won't be visible.
- Global Shout, the chatbox that transmits messages the entire server needs to know. This usually is to advertise services, or country's recruiting new workers. A message costs 2 gold, and is not ment to be used for regular chat.
The first step, verifieing phone number
When you are still with me at this point, then i'd like to propose you verify your phone number. This is not as fishy as it sounds, but this enables you to gain several bonusses. In this case i mean receiving workbonusses, and the oppertunity ot open up a 0 euro-company that can earn you some gold while you play.
For this step i point out this step isn't necessary, but it will make things easier in game. So when you are not so certain of the game yet, then please keep palying without verifieing your phone number untill you are more certain.
For the players that want to verify their phone numbers, click your name to get to your profile and press the tab button untill you hear: 'phone number not yet verified', press enter on this.
Arriving on this page you will need to select your country of origin, or at least where your phone number is registered and in the edit field you fill out your phone number, without the country's code.
For example: In the Netherlands the Country's code is +31. A mobile phone number is 0612345678. But for this to work, i will need to delete the 0 out of my number. So i fill out 612345678 and press the verify button.
A tab will open up below the verify button telling you on what to do. You'll need to call a +12 or a +1 number with your phone. Make sure to tab out the phone number in full. So when the phone number you need to cal is a +12 number, fill out 0012xxxxxxxx. When you call the provided number the connection will be automatically broken, telling you the number you call is currently busy. If all goes well, the screen on your pc will refresh, telling you the verification went well and you are now verified.
As a sidenote. Since Myprofitland is much further in development then kickoffboss you also can verify your id-card. While myprofitland is a game, it still falls under financial business, so id-verification at some point can be done. I am not 100% sure if this is required though. I did it myself, since in the netherlands id-verification for financial institutions isn't strange to me.
Congratulations, you are now verified!
Working for the first time,
Right now you are verified, and you can now work up to your first work bonus. Which is an additional amount of local currency paid by your gouverment for you being a loyal worker. For be able to receive the workbonus, you'll need to work 3 days in a row a minimum of 2 times. When this adds up correctly you'll be gaining the workbonus. But to start with this, you'll need to start working for the first time. Follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the activities tab, and press enter,
2. Arrow down to the work link, press enter,
3. Several tabs will be visible on the main section of this page, select for example handworking or guest servicing, these two categories of jobs usually have plenty enough to do, press enter to select one of these tabs,
4. Arrow downward to the current available jobs, and press enter on the work link, findable under a job of your choosing,
5. A small screen pops up at the bottom of your screen. This box asks to fill out 2 digits on a captcha. No worries, this is doable. But follow these teps:
1. Navigate to the edit field and arrow up once. This so you are localised just above the edit field,
2. Press the hotkey Shift + F10, to emulate a right mouse click,
3. Navigate upward to image descriptions by google, press enter,
4. Arrow down once till you hear, just this time, press enter.
6. Now the image is visible, it will probably read: 7qx3, to you. The 7 and 3 are the ones you want, so fill them out and press enter.
Voila, you are now working!
Energy,
While you are working, you eventually will notice your energy went down by 17% or something. This needs replacement, since the higher your energy before starting your shift, the better the payment will be. This all involves around a complex calcuation that determines your effectiveness while working and of course the booty you will receive. So it will need replacement. Follow these steps,
1. Navigate to the markets tab, and press enter,
2. Arrow down one time to get to the local market and press enter.
3. Click the beer icon by pressing enter.
4. Buy one beer, giving you back 8% energy.
Automating energy refills,
Since you probably dont' have not to many funds yet to keep gulping down beer like there is no tomorrow, it is probably best to use your first hard earned coins by buying meals. Meals are a very solid and easy way of refilling your energy on set times during the day. For this, follow the above steps to get to the meals section. The meals section automatically opens up at the breakfast screen, Above this breakfast section you'll find the sections for lunches, snacks and dinners too. Buy the meals you can affort, but mind, 1 of each if you can. We don't want your coin spilled to quickly.
The energy amounts the meals give are:
- Breakfast, 20%, at 6:00 o'clock servertime,
- Lunch, 12%, at 12:00 o'clock servertime,
- Snack, 8%, at 18:00 o'clock servertime,
- Dinner, 12%, at 00:00 o'clock servertime.
A word of caution,
There are probably more then enough jobs to make you dream of rich pickings. But limit yourself to 3 categories at max. sSince every account can earn up to a max of 300 skill points, which also will be calculated to determine how much you should be paid, together with your energy. So when you focus on 3 categories of jobs, for example, handworking, guest servicing and engineering, you'll be able to eventually get 100 skill pointsi n all three skills. Making them as effective as can be. When you focus on all 6 categories, you won't get them higher at 50 points at best. When you devide the points equally. You can luckely unlearn a skill, but preventing is better then cleaning up the mess afterwards right?
A 0 euro company,
Now you verified your phone number, you can start up a 0 euro's company. This company can work by itself. You have the choosing between a water drill, or a solar plant. Both of these will gather water of electricity by themself and only require you to collect the goods each day so you can sell it. Water and electricity are used by companies that produce all kidns of goods for players to use. So expect your product to get sold quickly. Earning you some extra mula's (cash).
But before this magic to happen, you'll need to have a verified phone number, and you'll need to click the my companies link.
Arriving on this screen by pressing the h-button, you soon discover the start a new company link, press enter on this.
On the screen you arrive at, you can select various tabs. But we are interested in the utilities tab, press enter on it.
On the page that opens up now, you can select either a water plant or a solar plant, you only can choose one, but it won't matter to much on which one you choose, since both water and electricity are equally priced.
Congratulations, you just started your first company!
Managing your plant.
Now you have your plant you'll need to manage it slightly. For this you need to visit the my companies link again, and then follow the following steps:
Note: I will be using the water plant for an example.
- Arrow down through your list of companies, and scroll past the name of your water plant, since you haven't changed the name 
This to the manage link, and press enter on it.
- A tab opens up giving you access to the controls of your company,
- arrow down to the water plant link on this panel and press enter.
- Near the bottom you'll notice a link, put x.xxx water in your inventory, press enter on this.
- Now the water your plant gathered will be inside your company's inventory.
- Arrow to the inventory link on your company's panel, press enter,
- arrow down till you hear the amount of water you have stocked, arrow past this and press enter on the order's market link,
- the orders market opens up. Arrow to the bottom and arrow now upward. You will notice 2 edit fields.
- At the top one, the one labled 10 when you use the Shift + E hotkey you fill in the amount of water you have. This needs to be a whole digit, so 4, not 4.73.
- Tab once and fill out your price. The current price is 0.10 for every unit.
- You can choose to limit the selling to your country, or by putting it globally. Make your choice and press on create order.
Voila! Now your water is up for your country or for the entire game to buy.
Editorial notes:
I thrown this guide together quickly, and i am well aware that things are missing. But this will get you started and i will wrtie up additional sections when the questions arrise. If things are unclear, make sure to let these know, cause very much is possible in the game as a blind player, but things need to be approached differently.
In any case. I hope you'll be having fun, this is an exiting road to go down.
